Sorry for the late notice about change of day for our shared lunch. Room 14 is being used on Tuesday for the school production. Performers will use room 14 all day for getting ready etc. Team 14 will be in Room 18 for the day. We will probably have our shared lunch on Wednesday but this will be confirmed soon. Keep checking our blog. Hope you are having a nice weekend.

Athletics: This is happening tomorrow. Please come dressed in house colours. Bring a safety pin to school.

Jandal Mufti Day: On Friday we are having a mufti day to raise money for Surf Life Saving NZ. Gold coin donation please.

Book Week : This takes place next week. There is a book parade on Wednesday 7 December. Your child needs to come dressed as their favourite book character.

Dads’ Day November 2011

Dads’ Day was a great success. Thanks so much to all the Dads who came along.

First up we had Jock (Annabelle’s Dad) and Francis (Amelia’s Dad) help out with writing. We think they were very impressed with our work. I know they loved singing our welcome song in the morning and our bean bag one too. Thanks for being such great sports!!

Next up was reading time. Paddy (Matthew’s Dad), Andy (Jeshaiah’s Dad) and Simon (Charlotte’s Dad) helped us out during this time. Children were in groups and practised a play with the help of their special Dad. Then they performed the plays. They were amazing!! Have a look at the photos…

The last part of Dads’ Day was maths time. Peter (Thomas’ Dad) came to help. First he read a story to us and then he helped us.

It was awesome having all the Dads helping us with our learning today. Thanks for helping us to have a lot of fun!!

Amazing Artists in Team 14

We have now finished our fantastic rabbits. This artwork took two lessons. First we drew an outline of a rabbit and then we used a sponge to paint the inside. For our next lesson, we painted round the outline in black and added a pink nose etc. The children are very proud of their special artworks. Come and have a look at them in our class.

We had an amazing time at the show on Wednesday. The children absolutely loved the experience. Some of us even saw a baby lamb being born!
